vole
I recently got my 1st semi.Fabarm Lion as it felt good, very light, rfd liked them.Took it to the clay ground but used 50 subsonics i needed rid of so it did not cycle.Incidentally I hit about 35 to 40 clays so it seems to suit me ok.Have not been in the field much lately but when I was I unloaded for fences by working the cocking lever but the last cartridge stayed in the mag until I pushed what fabarm call the multi purpose button which released it.Noisily.The instruction book is ****.Is this normal for all semis? Will it stick when taking 3rd shot?On the farm I shoot is not the sort of place I can take uneccessary shots to test, but will if necessary.Cant get back to clay ground soon either. I fully expect my "Dead Eye " tag to be ripped from my lapel and stamped into the dirt for such a question.Thankyou in advance.
Vegeta
I am not really sure what your question is but generally to unload my semi (oh yeah baby) I turn the gun over and depress the little metal flap. If you inspect where the cartridge is being held in the magazine you will see a little bit of metal holding the rim cartridge in place, push this away from the cartridge (now nothing is stopping the spring pushing the cartridge out) and it should just pop out. The next cartridge in the mag will take the previous ones place and you repeat the process. Eventually you wont even have to look at the gun to do this. I have had a beretta and they are a joy to unload compared to my benelli and the fabarm I owned.
Country_est
My experience (Berretta eXtrema) you can unload the one in the chamber be pressing a small lever on the side of the action and then by pulling the slide back will exject the chambered round and leave the slide locked back, and the other 2 rounds in the mag. then to release the other 2 rounds in the mag follow the procedure described by Vegeta. vole
Sorry if unclear.I was wondering if the catch preventing ejecting last round was going to interfere with it being cycled normally.in a brand new gun i am sure it functions perfectly. The rubbish handbook confused me.Excuse the daft query,it is all part of my quest to be more able and safe at rough shooting which is worth embarressing myself!Cheers folks. Floating Chamber
Get yourself a Winchester Model 50 if you want to use subsonics!
