Thunder & Lightning.

Hi, wonder if there is anything that I can do for my Lab. He is 8 in Nov, has been kenneled outdoors all the time I have had him (got when 8 months). Up untill Jan 06 he shared the kennel with my other dog (Lab who died aged 14 in 06). Since then when ever there has been a thunder and Lightening he gts very upset and starts to attempt to escape from the run, one side of it is walled, then the wooden shed / Kennel is at the back and the outside fence is the 3rd side with a shed being the 4 wall. When ever the thunder starts he will start to back (more of a yelp), then starts to attack either the kennel sides or the outside fence in an attempt to escape.

If we are in then its on a prob as he is in the house with us, if a night I can let him in, He is not happy during these times but just lies down in the quitely in the house.

The main problem come when we a re out during the day, and he is left in the kennel, (this only happens during thunder storms) that he causes mayhem. Is there anything I can do to help him, or is it just a case of buy wood and nails after each storm, had one yesterday, was fine in the morn when we left at 10:30, got back 2:30 and it was starting to roll the thundre and he had aready started to knock out some of the shed pannels.
