njc110381
I've just realised that my 12g rods don't fit down the .410 barrels. I don't really want to buy more rods so will a .40 pistol bronze brush do the trick? I think the threads are the same as on my rifle cleaning kit so I'd only need to buy another brush
JRDS
Try it, if it gets stuck you will know its the wrong size
njc110381
It shouldn't get stuck, but we'll soon see. A brush isn't expensive, in fact a whole kit isn't too bad. I just don't want too many of the same thing taking up space!
humperdingle
I got an "all-calibre" cleaning kit, but it's a bit flimsy and probably a waste of money - I should have invested in better quality cleaning brushes for each calibre I own! I was given a .410 "Bore Snake", and couldn't believe how easy it was to use! Had no idea they incorporated a wire brush sewn into it. So that's what I'd go for - A Bore Snake in .410. njc110381
I may try a bore snake, sounds like a good bit of kit
JRDS
There is a seller on Fleabay who does them at a good price, I have had a few bits of him. Do a search for Boresnake and look for a seller called Hiscar or something like.
