Description

This was my grandfathers gun and really shot very little most of the original bluing is in place. I had it recast to left handed to shoot but in truth I just don't use it much as I mainly shoot 20 gauge these days so it needs a new loving home. It is a lovely gun I sent off to AYA and they said it was model 117- year 1964, essentially the same as a number 2 ie sidelock ejector , but it it doesn't have tool less removable side plates. I have had the gun inspected and oiled when the stock was bent and it is perfect. It comes with a classy Brady leather and canvas case which is nicely aged. Sorry to see it go but rather it was shot than sat in the cabinet.

RFD to RFD at cost

Despite what AYA have said that is a No.2 not the cheaper 117.

It has the rolled edge triggerguard and I assume an articulated front trigger. It has exactly the same engraving as my No.2.

Pretty sure if you contact AYA again and attach a couple of clear pics they will confirm it!

All the best with the sale.

No not necessarily - seems to be a few early No.2's without hand detachable locks. 117 doesn't have a rolled triggerguard, 117 doesn't have gold lined cocking indicators and 117 has different engraving. This is the same engraving as the No.2.

Spot on it is a No2, I have a 117 with hand detachable locks.
