simonp
Going with the wife and kids on the saturday to get kitted up for the coming season, they staying with the out-laws in Rugby on Sat eve. Since I've not taken the gun to a fair before (I like the idea of getting some clays in  ), whats the deal with carrying the gun around the fair etc ? Is it ok to walk around with the gun in its slip ?, or should I secure it in the car (carrying forend with me ?) etc ? Advice is warmly received, ta Si

Dunkield
You would be well advised to tell the people directing the traffic that you are shooting and they <should> direct you to the shooters carpark. That way you can leave the gun in the car if you don't want to walk round all day with it.
