tody27 Posted April 6, 2004 Report Share Posted April 6, 2004 Hiya, Just recieved a new lander and floater from Vale. Lander looks pretty good- nice and sturdy. But the floater will not extend!! Tried pliers and everything on it but the pole just wont budge. Anybody been in a similar situation? If so, how did you sort it? Cranfield Posted April 6, 2004 Report Share Posted April 6, 2004 Is this the floater with the knurled section, you twist to undo, extend the arm and then twist to tighten ? If so, mine was rather stiff, but I didn,t need pliers on it. Don,t bang it about, telephone them and ask for advice, if you are not happy, send it back for a replacement. Their stuff is normally OK. tody27 Posted April 6, 2004 Author Report Share Posted April 6, 2004 Ye same one, I emailed the boss and he emailed back saying that it would have been bumped in the post and the carbon pole had got stuck in the welded spike at the bottom.
