Hello everyone,

I have just bought a Beretta 303 12 bore for 350 quid :good: . However after a bit of reading I am still unsure as to what each of the markings on the barrel mean. Any help or a link to a site with drawings of proof marks would be greatly appreciated. These are the symbols on the barrel:

KG 1,030 CAM.70 18.3 (1 star above)FINITO (2 stars above)PSF

(1 star above)a sorta crossed swords symbol, and finally, AP

Thanks,

Sean

ps I know its 2 3/4" so the CAM70 probably means this but I'm confused about the use of steel shot through it. Guess I should've asked the shop ???

18.3 is the bore size in milimetres. "Cam 70" is 70mm chamber (2 3/4 inch).

"PSF" under a "*" and "Finito" under a "*" indicate definitive proof (i.e. proof after the shotgun was made). PSF stands for "Polvere Sensa Fumo" (Smokeless powders).

Hope that helps
