stevethevanman
some people use 80 grain soft points like yourself or I know some people on here that use the federal 55 grain nosler ballistic tip, that are devastating , you could use a 100 grain round and just zero at 150 or 200 yards or just zero very high at 100 yards, but with a 243 no matter what rounds your shooting, be it a 100 grain soft point or a 55 grain ballistic tip, If you can plant the round on the shoulder, he isnt going anywere very fast Steve
gibby
I use 100 grain federal. These are what i use for roe and i use the same on fox. I can;t fault them. Gibby

Devon Fox
Rock on! Some seriously hard core pictrures fellas. I was thinking of trying lighter rounds .... so i think i might try the 50gr feds, does it make any difference to the recoil etc, obviously setting the scope up is a must. tulkyuk
only thing i will say is, be careful as the lighter bullets tend to be barrel burners. I've found the 75grn to be just about right - good fast bullet with about a 2 inch drop at 200yrds if you zero at 100yrds ( buts thats in my gun of course)
Devon Fox
Just bought 3 boxes of Hornady 58gr v max molly. didnt have a lot to offer me at the shop so i will see how this goes, the geezer doesnt think they will do any harm, its only reall an issue with barrel wear if you are putting 100's of rounds down a range in his opinion?! thanks for all the help people, and enjoyed the pics, let 'em have it!
