Old Boggy
Welcome to the forum. According to Graham Greener`s book, the `Greener Story`, your gun was made in 1976 and was one of 4139 made in that year. I assume that the suffix `G` refers either to `GP` or `Gaffer Gun` as they were also referred to although I cannot find any reference to this suffix so far in the book. The book also states that the GP model was made by Greener up until 1965 and thereafter by Webley & Scott (still marked Greener) until 1967 for the Mk 1 model and 1981 for the Mk 2 model. I therefore assume that your model is a Mk 2, which I think it has marked on it somewhere. The Mk 2 had checkering whereas the earlier Mk 1 didn`t. Hope this helps. Charles Devlin
Thank you mate for coming back to me👍 It is a Mk11 says so on the side, nice condition and am very happy to add it to my collection. The reason I wanted this particular gun is the ‘Martini action’ great fun!
