Wookie
Finally managed to get away from work early enough to take the Urika out onto my permission, so last night was the first time I'd used it for what it was designed for. Ok, turned up at the farm at about 6 and got changed into DPs and boots and wandered off with map in one hand and GPS in the other to get a feel for the land. Saw a couple of pigeons and got a shot off at one of them, but missed (Damn!). Went round a bend in the woods and saw a rabbit looking a bit worried... Shot at, missed. Damn. By this time, I'm getting a bit worried. Ok, I've not fired that many shots with the Urika and I'm using game carts in it now, but that's no excuse for missing a rabbit. So, I go back to basics and start walking again. Another few hundred metres I see a young bunny sitting up and slowly shoulder and fire. This one drops. One for the bag. Another few hundred down the field, I see another one still feeding. After the racket of a shot, I have a feeling something is wrong with it and, after shooting it, realise it's got mixy. Anyway, a lovely evening out and I had food for the evening. In fact, my chilli and garlic braised rabbit is busy stinking out the fridge here at work with it's lovely goodness. At least I know the Beretta works now! Wookie
