gdunc
I'm in the process of ordering a Brattonsound 2/3 gun cabinet which will take a week or so to arrive so am looking for advice as to what size fixings it will require. I believe that there are six holes in the back and the method of fixing will be cutting into the plasterboard of a cupboard and securing the cabinet to the brickwork / timbers. Anybody have ideas as to type and size of fixtures i'll need? Cheers Dunc

I was only really wanting to know the size (eg. M8) of bolt / screw which is required to secure a standard box as I was planning on having them ready for the arrival of the cabinet. Swanky Doodle Pigeon
I used coach screws into timber joists. I think they were about 3 inches. I've got the same cabinet as you by the way. I drilled 2 more holes in the top also for further fixings to make sure.

I'm thinking of fixing some 18mm ply onto the wall first then fixing through that - should be pretty solid and as its just a cupboard I can mount through the floor too.
