bunnybasher07
just wanting to have some opinions about nightvision monoculars or Night Vision scopes which should i buy... i have a precharged bsa scorpion and i need the nightvision for shooting rats at around 12 at night but i can make my mind up what to get. i would use the monocular to lamp with to see if anything was out but cant decide so i am asking for some opinions from the pros (what they use etc) Cheers GM
Guest rabgoat
im no pro far from it,i use a monocular to scan around for eyes then when the target is close enough i put the lamp on,dosen,t always work, with fox's a few times in the few seconds it takes to put the monocular away and put the rifle up the fox has disappeared, was thinkin of getting a add on nv for the day scope. chunk
I use a yukon nvmt2 for spotting with my rifle slung. Its hard work continually lifting a rifle just to look round. I have an ATN 330 with yukon ir torch on my rem 597. It also does time on my Daystate Harrier for ratting

ferretmanabu
Is that NV that you've just plugged into your normal scope? Seems interesting. How much is a device like that?
Guest Patsmash
it was £300 for the NV and £120 for the laser but if you shop round i think you can get the monocular a bit cheaper

ferretmanabu
What does the laser do?
Guest Patsmash
the laser came from the Ukraine its a Dipol L3. the laser is a infra red illuminator which sends out an invisible beam that the monocular can pick up
