Chaz25
Anybody know of them? its a (Hunter 4x40 wide "coated image moving Japan") reminded me of the wide angle Tasco's (image view is flattered top and bottom ) which I think is what it is or the parent company that made them for Tasco? matt finish with good crisp lens, any info on them would be nice to know, thanks! 39TDS
I have a Hunter scope, bought it new from Henry Monks in Chester. I think it must have been in 1980. Had it on my Dads .22 BRNO for years, it was and still is a damned good scope and accounted for thousands of rabbits in its time. They come up on eBay from time to time but I am afraid I don't know much more than they came in a red box.

Gloss but not mega shiny, not very shiny at all now as it is fairly knocked about. I have never been precious over it as it spent a lot of the time rattling around in my truck but nor have I been rough with it. I see no reason why it won't last a long time yet. I can't remember how much it was but seem to think it was the same price as a gun would be. It was an extravagance to buy it at the time, nearly broke my heart to discover you had to buy mounts separately.
Chaz25
Think mine would be a latter model considering the matt finish. sounds like they were a pricey scope!
