WeihrauchPower
Picked her up today! Marlin 336XLR .30-30 Any tips on cleaning from other lever action owners would be a great help. I've never cleaned from the muzzle end before. I have a crown protector on my rod but i'm worried about solvent getting into the action etc. Thanks for all the advice i received which led to the purchase! http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb67/bo...HallsGap004.jpg http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb67/bo...HallsGap005.jpg

Hunter
If it was my gun, I would probably fill the action area with a rag pushed in tight. Otherwise a chamber plug may be helpful. When cleaning from the muzzle, take great care not to damage or wear the crown. Use a good plastic/teflon coated cleaning rod Looks fun, will you keep it open sited?
