When I lived there for over a decade a few years ago now, they were always very reasonable. Had no problems when I up graded or changed my rifles. Infact they have been helpful when I called them for help
J@mes
up to 16 week wait for new applicants at the moment, probably more with the postal strikes slowing things up...
Mungler
My FAC went off at the start of August and cheque was cashed at lightening speed. I have had the interview, my landowner has had a visit and my referee has had the chat. I got a verbal clean bill of health. That was all over many weeks ago and I am still waiting - I reckon the postal strike will add an extra 7 days to 10 days. In the meantime I have bought two face rifles .22 and .223. The deals have been done and the payments processed. I reckon my RFD will have the rifles by this time next week, or end of next week at the latest. If I am lucky everything will fall in next week, but lets see. Once mine is through I will: 1. scan the certificate to get consensus on what it does and doesn't say 2. post the dates from first submission, cheque cashing, interview and final receipt of cerificate. I would be interested to know how long it has taken others in Essex from start to finish but I reckon 16 weeks sounds about right give or take a fortnight.
