dogone Posted November 11, 2022 Report Share Posted November 11, 2022 Joseph Hilderbrand of Herbert , Saskatchewan , Canada died fighting in Ukraine two days ago. Thirty three years old , with two tours in Afghanistan. A farm boy who went to fight for the right cause. Just like all the farm boys from western Canada who died in the world wars. Our Rememberance day is tomorrow, the 11th. He is the only person I knew who died in battle so it will be very personal tomorrow. Boybrit Posted November 11, 2022 Report Share Posted November 11, 2022 My father was a Canadian sapper through WWII but he survived, my uncle on my mothers side died 23rd April 1945 in northern Germany.
