I’ve recently aquired a mint Beretta Silver pigeon s 12 bore, it was manufactured in 2016.

its proofed….to the best of my knowledge…at 1490 bar although does not have a fluer de lys stamp, i was told that the Italians didn’t always use the stamp, just accepted the proof pressure, has anyone else heard of this?

it doesn’t worry me as i know that HP Steel is 1390 proof so I wouldn’t have reservations about using HP steel in the gun.
