A 99p cable is exactly the same as a £200 cable, all they do is send 1's and 0's to the TV. Although the length of the cable can make a difference, so thats probably why you have noticed a difference.

Not actually true, it should be a simple serial bitstream, but it's not.

I think you should take a look at this, you to dunganick:

I actually repair HD boxes and the hardware they use is very simple, looks like all it does is ping 1's and 2's around.

lol ive seen the difference, cant nessicarily explain it, but i have seen the difference, there is also a reason people review leads and find some give different picture quality than others. Surely if length makes a difference then equally the efficancy/purity of the components used makes a difference?

Not my area as you can tell, however ive seen the difference on the TV's which is my area, so im sticking by my guns.

Components make no difference, in fact if you took a 99p cable apart and a £100 cable apart the components will be exactly the same. Also gold plating is a waste of time, 99% of gold plated cables have the connectors so thinly coated as soon as you plug the cable in you will be making contact with the metal underneath, which is normally copper.

You do know why review companies give certain manufactures good reviews dont you?

They are on HUGE commissions, its ludicrous amounts.
