bart37
if you shot them you should eat them what is the point in killing them alli take it you havent shot a lot of pigeons in a day,,,i agree its pointless killin them an they go to waste,,,but there is a market for them if u shoot more than u can eat,,some butchers buy them,,,some restaurants do,,but the majority go to game dealers ,a lot go for export, the price varies according to demand ,... HeadShotHoncho
Dos anybody know a game dealer in cumbria who lives near Cockermouth or will collect. I only shoot about 10 at a time but am hoping to get a set of decoys which will hopefully increase my bag. Is there a minimum on how many they'll buy, if they'll buy them frozen or if they have to be fresh and what price are they. Also will I have to use non-toxic pellets in my air rifle (not lead) Thanks and also if anyone has any idea on decoying with air rifles and what kit could you check out my post in airgunning in country sports and reply to it or pm me Many thanks for all the help
WGD
how about not shooting more than you can sell and use ? why not, they're vermin. as quarry they deserve a clean kill but after that, if they have to be waste after best effort to get rid of them then better that than flying around destrying crops surely? markbivvy
how about not shooting more than you can sell and use all well and and good H if you are only playing in the Fields. What about the lads that doing it for pest control, i am sure the farmer would have rid of em if they was only shooting a few for Friends and family. bit like the folk who only shoot what they can sell , no good to the farmers who want a proper job doing.
