rifle purchase

hi just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on a .17 hmr rifle as i am applying for my fac in a couple of months after studdying the more complex requirements for rifles.

What will you be using it for? Any idea of a maximum price? My choice (the gun I have a deposit on for when my FAC arrives) would be a CZ American with a 16" barrel. If you plan to fire a lot of shots at the range then maybe the Varmint model with the heavy barrel would be better. You can spend a lot more on another make of rifle and not gain a great deal, so it depends whether the 1/5 of an inch at 100 yards you could gain matters enough to make you spend double the money?

P.S rob13 You can't go wrong with CZ. Well made, more accurate than you can shoot and you won't have to sell your mother to pay for it. Believe me. (Mum, you can come in now and get dressed)

Why do you want the.17 hmr? Apply for a .22 LR as well - with a moderator they are quieter than an air rifle which means that you will get more rounds shot in a session and the ammo only costs about £35.00 per 500.
