Hello.

I am trying to help a family friend whos husband has recently passed sell his shotguns.

The rest are common but the baretta isnt something im familiar with.

I belive its a 16gage 409pb. Really struggling to find another for sale in the uk so not sure what is a fair price for it. Also i belive the year is 1934 as it is stamped on the under side of the barrels

Thanks in advance

Sam

It's a nice gun but what might be against it is side clips and top extension. What length chambers has it? Ejector or non-ejector? And if it is within proof. As to value or rather to comply with P/W rules on such its "desirability" I'd contact Beretta direct perhaps via their London outlet. It is an interesting enough gun IMHO for someone back in Italy to want to research it for you. And know its value there on the continent...which may be likely, like French side by side guns be somewhat more that its value in the UK. Good Luck with that I'd love to know what comes back. When made this would not have been a cheap gun.

As above .

I dont think the gun will have  any great value in the UK . Its not the sort of gun that your average RFD deals in theses days so taking to a gunshop /shooting ground will not really help . I would suggest contacting some one like Holts auctioneers , who sell a lot of guns like this .Selling a gun in an action is a risk as it will all depend on who is bidding on the day . Advertising and selling privately has its draw backs as you can get a lot of  enquireis and a lot of time wasters who want endless photos and thats all .

It does need to be checked for proof and overall safety before anything else though .
