humperdingle
Try ASDA or TESCO or any of the big supermarkets. I bought a tent for a tenner, and It came with about 20 2ft lengths of fibre rod (connected by bungee cords, but these could be cut)
johnbob
hi mate go on e bay and buy some 5 meter telescopic fishing poles for around a fiver each then you just cut the top end off to the size you need then fix a y shape bit of wire to the end, ideal for hides and lofting pigeons, very light but strong tried and tested
