Krico woodcock
Heard first whooper swans Saturday evening, whilst on evening flight. Seen a good few teal zipping about. So from here on in hopefully see a few wigeon, more teal and migrant mallard. Have you boys on coast see migrant wildfowl starting to arrive in any numbers? scolopax
First Whoopers last Thursday high over the Yorkshire wolds, likewise there were some fresh Pinks following the same line. Lots of teal around on the estuary last week, but precious few wigeon. I have just done two successive morning flights and had clean barrels each outing! Keith 66
Here in South Essex quite a few teal & widgeon on the creek now, lots of mallard about & canadas too. Nearly trod on a woodcock yesterday on Hadleigh country park, made me jump when it erupted upwards!
