Big_Sam
Right my soon to be local clay ground is shooting over foreshore so non-toxic is the order of the day..... Any recommendations for decent cartriges? I would prefer fibre, but not necessary. Thanks, Sam
MC
If it for clay shooting then there is only one type, and that is steel everything else is too expensive. Express do a new range of competition steel in 7's and 9's

Wookie
Gamebore are doing a range of three types of steel cart now in both 24 and 28g load. From memory: Standard steel (24g/28g), white gold (24g) & Black gold (HV) (28g/24g), all in no. 7 shot I tried a box of both the Black gold and standard steel at the weekend and managed to get better scores with them than with normal lead (not sure that's really an accurate assesment of the shot type or just my luck though!). The blurb says that the carts have about 20% more pellets in than lead because of the lower density, meaning a higher chance to hit. Either way, both of them kicked a fair bit more than lead and both types were dirty as hell down the barrel when I looked at the end of the stand. After 50 shots, I needed to put some lead through just to clean the barrels! Oh yes, they are also cheaper than the lead carts we have at the club.
