CoventryWire
HI all, I've acquired quite a few old paper cartridges from some mixed boxes at auctions, I was thinking of making a cartridge display board with some of my favourites, however would I need to "inert" them by removing the propellent? I guess in order to ever sell it in the future I would? and I guess from a H&S perspective it would be best to aswell? has anyone on here ever made one? how did you go about it? Cheers Andy
TIGHTCHOKE
Drill a 3mm hole where the powder sits, tip it out and drill another hole for a second screw. Unfortunately it makes the cartridges virtually valueless, but it is the safe way. Some people try to oil the primer to make it inert, that will just spoil the paper cases. Good luck, don't forget to post pictures of whatever you make.
scarecrow243
you don't need a certificate to have shotgun cartridges unless they are shot size bigger than SG
