NorfolkBoy
We drove out to a hunting preserve in Pennsylvania on Saturday for my first taste of Stateside hunting. With our guide Joe and his two GSP's we hit the fields in search of chukar (partridge) We walked...... And then walked some more - the dogs working hard In places the sorghum is at head height so you can see why sticking out like a sore thumb in orange is not a bad idea. We get a point, Joe and Tim look for a bird in cover......but wisely its done a runner We get another point - even though we can see the bird the dog is rock steady before getting the command to flush. The bag for the day. Sunday dinner - partridge breast with bacon, veggies and onion gravy....luvvverly. Had a great day so we're off somewhere else for pheasant next weekend

Cranfield
That looks like a fun day, there are few things better than hunting over pointing dogs.
Suffolk shooter
Those chukar look almost identical to Redleg partridge except bigger. Good pics and nice bag. Out of interest how much did the day cost including guides, dogs etc. Be nice to compare to english prices. SS

So are they not found in coveys like the grey and redlegs over here are or is it that its not cold enough for them to have done so yet. Seems weird to have one flush and not others at the same time.
