sharp_shooter
I heard that 14+ can shoot alone! A self contained gas cartridge is the brocock air cartridge system (bacs). These are made illegal because incredibly skilled gun experts can turn them into live cartridge rounds. Hope it helps. Have a look about in the airgun section and it says that 14+ can shoot alone. rarms
Ring the BASC and ask them, they will give you accurate advice which you can rely on the only guns banned were indeed brocock and other TAC/BAC firing replicas.
beardy_bradderz
You can still shoot on your own when your under 17 but over 14, but you cannot own an airgun anymore till you are 17, nor carry any airgun in a public place until you are 17 (these were the two changes to the law). Self contained gas cartridge airguns were banned (or you could have kept them by getting an FAC). This is only things like Brococks.etc, not PCP's or anything else. You can still carry any legal airgun in the street if you are over 17, but you ahve to have a good reason to do so eg. on the way to a shoot, club or shop.
