GAMEKEEPING POSITION

ITALY – TUSCANY

Exciting opportunity for a full time work on a private Estate in Italy, Tuscany. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced gamekeeper who would like to have a new challenge and take responsibility for all gamekeeping and organization of a pheasant shoot.
The estate consists of a mix of fields, woodland and private grounds of 600 acres with the possibility to enlarge the shooting area.  

The successful candidate as know as well and work for:

o Rearing of 20/25000 one day old pheasants chicks to provide the 12/14 days and daily bag offered
o Preparation, maintenance and building of release pens  
o Planning new drives and enlarge the shooting area
o Cleaning and maintaining shoot/farm equipment
o Assistance and planning of the game cover crops
o Daily morning and evening pen checks and feeding using rear ATV feeders and whistling the pheasants  
o Daily dogging with his own dogs⁰ of the boundary's is required throughout the season.
o Vermin control
o Training of underkeeper who already knows the basic common work
o Organization, training and managing beaters on the shoot day  
o Total responsibility of the shoot
