Ferretboy111
Had my CZ american .223 for some time now, and have been using cheap ammo through it such as, federal soft nose 55grn, american eagles, etc about £12 a box of 20. But i thought it treat myself a few months ago and bought some Winchester supreme CPX1 varmint 55grn ballistic silvertips- £23 a box of 20. Well, im never going to go back to cheap ammo again, i can group these rounds hole in hole at 100yrds easily, and very accurate at 200yrds aswell- inch groups. I could never even dream of getting groups like that with the cheaper ammo, i suppose my rifle is much like a woman, likes to have money spent on her! Been zeroing today with her, which is why i thought id post it up. Alex

Alex Winchester supreme CPX1 varmint 55grn ballistic silvertips I got mine from Uncle Alan down at Eastern Sporting - he said they were top notch and that they would be in good supply going forwards - unlike other brands where one week you can get 50 the next none and the week after 20 etc etc. I just wanted a top round, to zero in and be done. BigGun1
I quite agree! If your not into reloading your own and hours of experimentation try as much as you can! But I have never been lucky enough to find a gun that likes cheap ammo
deadeye ive
If your .223 does not like American Eagle then your very unlucky as you are in the minority . Try them in Hollow point .......
Ferretboy111
They were hollow points, and yeah they grouped ok- but no way as near as good as the winchester's. Alex
auto culto
must admit my CZ .223 just loves the hornady 40g v-max. They go like stink (3800fps) and shoot so flat its unreal and really do the job well on charlie Give them a try, there £16 a box and worth every penny. Alex Then my advice is forget the money issue and stick with these as they are that good ..........Until you take up reloading that is .
