Oly Posted December 17, 2007 Report Share Posted December 17, 2007 I now use a Leupold VXIII 6.5-20x50mm LRT with the Long Range Varmint reticle - great scope I agree, buy once, buy right, but if you drop it don't go running to the manufacturer wanting a replacement...unless it's a Leupold! OneEye Posted December 17, 2007 Report Share Posted December 17, 2007 I've a Leupold Long Range on my 6.5 and a S&B on my .308, and I can honestly say the quality, light gathering etc are indistinguishable. I've had a look at the Zeiss and Swarovski scopes and although they're superb, I think you're paying an extra 80% in money for maybe a 2% increase in performance.
