berettaman1 Posted January 21, 2008 Report Share Posted January 21, 2008 Three blokes decide to buy a second hand TV, which costs £24.00. they all chip in £8.00=3x8= £24.00.....after they have left the shop, the boss says to his young assistant- I think I have overcharged them,- chase after them and give them this £5.00 to share out amongst them!........the assistant goes off after them and thinks? ....I will give them back £3.00 and keep the £2.00 myself!!! this he does ,so the three chaps have now spent £7.00 each!....X3 =£21.00.....+.......£2.00 the assistant has pocketed..........= £21.00 + £2.00=£23.00 pounds!!! please somebody explain where the other quid has gone!!? this conumdrum has drove me mad for the last 35 years!!
