SidneyG
I had the same problem when I started. Tried most things, well placed black spot on the glasses, easyhit, blanking left eye. All helped a bit, but after much experimenting for me the best results come from calling the bird both eyes open, which aids judging the speed, mount and move, then shut or dim your left eye when your swinging onto the target. sounds like a lot to think about but it soon becomes habbit.I didnt really get on with the blurry patches or spots, mainly because I have middle vision ie. no dominant eye.I do still use easyhit beads too. There is no reason why your shooting need be any worse from cross dominance or middle vision just need to try a few things and work out whats best for you, we're all different.Of course there is another way.... learn to shoot left handed! clayman
To the Last Engineer, As an RFD you will find me at many gamefairs with my stand on Gunmakers row and you are welcome ( you and all) to come and say hello. If I shoot, its either at my home ground where I teach - Ridgewood SG ( this is a pvte facility for corporate / coaching only, no open shoots, but 60 acre wooded shoot , clubhouse and 120 ft tower, so its all there) or at Bisley NCSC or Pirbright. Occasionally I'll be at Northall or E J Churchill. I haven't shot comp for a few years now, no time, but I've been in the Surrey team and been a county discipline champ in my time (double rise)!!
