I would like to know if there is a rifle out there that can perform well with Federal power shok 55grn sp .4" group in mine @ 100yds .........Benchresting :good: .....I'll echo Stuarts thoughts by saying there is good and bad factory ammo out there .

You've started off well ............Is it a match grade (hand lapped barrel ) on your rifle .?

Ive,

I got the gun off a nice fella on the BBS but no paperwork with it at all.

Interestingly, having picked up a Steyr Scout Tactical Stainless Elite in a shop it had a different barrel from the one I have. Also whilst at Bisley with MC some fella on the stand next to me asked if I had had a new barrel put on it.

I can give the same answer "I have no idea. It's silver, heavy and came with the gun".

Ive,

I have no idea what any of that means but understand that it's good news and for once I may have made a shrewd shooting related purchase albeit by accident.

The Walther is back and I was going to update the photos and will stick some of the barrel on the Steyr up.

The Walther has an Aluminium SAK mod that had to be custom screw cut (the mod recut to accomodate the bizarre thread on the rifle). The mods is not air tight and residue blows out of the seams where the shroud to the mod meets the mod body. I would like a second opinion.
