Sprinter
Well, our cover crops were absolute **** this year. Maize got to about 3 foot and was completely had it before xmas. Sourgum didn't seem to appear (was meant to be alternated with maize through the cover). Mustard was a complete disaster, never stood a chance once the farm hand had been up and down it a couple of times with the tractor!! I kid you not. Apparently the ground isn't good enough for kale. The only thing we had moderate success with was artichoke and uncombined wheat. The artichoke is a complete swine to beat through and the wheat was laid completely flat in a storm just after xmas. So ideas anyone, what to try this year?
Teal
It was a poor year for growing gamecrops. Those choices are mostly solid, I take it they've been grown before- so I'd be tempted to stick with them, but ensure they are put in properly and looked after (temporary fence?)
