pantheman
Ok, Here is one for the educated . I live in Cyprus, I really , really want an English Cocker Spaniel. A working dog (not show type). It needs to be a puppy. prefer chocolate colour and female. Can anyone advise, if there is a firm or any individual that could arrange to export such a dog? I could get one imported from here, but it would be just any dog from some unknown breeding farm in europe somewhere. I wanted one from a trusted source, good working stock and that way I would have a fighting chance to get what I wanted. Can anyone help please? We can talk about cost later. tiercel
Try here. The dogs are £400 and bitches £500 but he does have a waiting list. His stud dog qualified for the cocker championship again this year and came 8th. Try this thread. Hope that helps TC

pantheman
Ok, after much deliberation I finally made a decision. I decided to get a dog locally instead of getting one imported. I would like to say thanks to juie tyers of Hawcroft Gundogs for the help in making enquieries for me, but it was getting too expensive for me. I have now picked up a couple of Pupps (photos attached) and I will be having my handsful from now on. Any tips and advice always welcome. And thanks again for the the replies. pantheman
my tip is hide your shoes! gorgeous pups mate, dog and a bitch ? Thanks, yes its a dog and a bitch. They follow me around like a mother goose. Great though, they look promising already. They both come to a calling and I am very hopeful. Can anyone tell me at what age training should start for the pups please ? Cheers
plinker
get yourself training spaniels by joe irvine , real training begins at about 6months old, but for now just settle them in get them into a routine and make friends with them, get them to look to you as there favourite person and you have made a good start.
