Im planning on getting some rare breed chickens which eventually i will use to broody off clutches of mallard, pheasant eggs. So i decided with all the wood i was given and collected to make up a couple of Arks.

I must add that i didnt pay for any of the materials as they were all salvaged from around the farms.

They are all treated with solignum, firstly i made a 8ft long, 4 ft high Ark. = http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m317/fe...y111/8ftArk.jpg

I then decided to also make another smaller 5 ft ark, by 2, 1/2 ft high for a smaller trio of old english game bantams or for a hen to broody eggs next year in= http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m317/fe...y111/5ftArk.jpg

This is a comparison in size of the two= http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m317/fe...boy111/Arks.jpg

Im pleased with them, and hope they serve the purpose of housing a few chickens well, certainly alot cheaper also.

I will eventually house these arks in a wire mesh pen, so they can wander abit more.

Alex :/
