Paul in North Lincs.
Bagged myself a lovely sack full of crackin woodies yesturday morning over the rotor and deeks on wheat stubble. Generally, I'll drop em off for a mate who freezes them, and inturn provides his canine companions with pigeon supreme during the week. Anyway, to cut along story short, I decide to keep four of the best for myself, and with breasts cleanly removed, sliced, and entered into the frying pan, I slowly fried with butter, with an assortment of herbs, and simmered with a mug full of thick bisto............................... it smelt lovely.................................. but didnt taste at all as good as I'd expected it to!!.... rather 'irony' in fact, and abit on the tough side. My missus dosnt really have a clue what to do with em either.... but I hear that they can make quite a tasty meal if cooked right.....on the whole, I have a ferocious apetite, and will eat practically anything, so i'm sure that my stale cooking was to blame! Any recipes that any of you chaps may have kicking around would be greatly recieved. .........cheers lads Paul in North Lincolnshire
lurcherboy
There is loads on the reciepe forum Paul. Also, I get the missus to beat the breats with a rolling pin, this tenderises the meat. LB :yp:
