iabo
hello all, wonder if you chaps could help me out,i am toying with the idea of buying a sxs for sporting clays, but i do have a problem with sbs in the standard form double triggers, straight hand stock, splinter forend, so what i am looking for is a sbs that shoots like an o/u(?) by that i mean pistol grip, beaver tail forend, single trigger and a raised rib the winchester mod 23 fits the bill, but they are like rocking horse poo to find and they hold there price very well too. skb also made a sporting clay sbs(now discontinued) have you chaps any ideas, make, modelsetc any info would be greatly appreicated thanks for your time ian

MC
Mungler has got a good one, very pointable pistol grip single trigger. Can't think what make it is though, I think it may be a Zoli. If you are serious about Sporting clays then do yourself a favour and get a decent over and under.

iabo
cheers martin, i already a beretta 682 and a teknys semi-auto,but would like a sbs as well(like ya do)but i cant get on with double triggers and nowt to get hold of at the front end, mate of mine shoots skeet and sporting with his sbs and does quite well with it,but i cant hit anything with it,have shot with a winchester mod 23 and really liked it and could hit clays with it. so while my 682 is my main gun i am just looking for something as a change will have a look at zoli guns and see what they are like. cheers mate ian

iabo
thanks lee, can you tell me what model your zabala is,also is it multi choked also what does the rib look like ie flat, raised, tapered, etc sorry to ask a load of questions, as said before an s.k.b. shotgun ticked all the boxs wide forend, pistol grip, raised rib etc,but now they dont make em any more, and they dont appear too often on the second hand market either, now theres a thought i may put a post in the wanted section and see what comes of it,never know i might end up like yourself, well happy, with a new gun . cheers and thank you ian
