triscrx
The farm where I shoot rabbits/pigeons on at the moment is 250 Acres and there is a farm nearby on adjacent land that I have never had premission to shoot on, I get my freerange eggs there so today when topping up on eggs I asked her if it was alright to shoot on their land also. Next minute I have been invited in for a chat her husband he checked I was insured and photocopied my FAC and shotgun cert's and just said to call if I was shooting there 1st. Well chuffed. Its only 25 Acres but its always been a bit of land I have fancied shooting on and its ideal as it joins the land I have permission on already. I had a google earth map of the area so her husband just shaded what they own and said enjoy. Well happy with the result. Now I have 2 farms there are another 2 visible on google earth so im going to approach them asap and mention I shoot the 2 adjacent farms and see if its ok to shoot there too. really chuffed after that today. She has a massive rabbit problem there as well so Im looking forward to sorting them out. Tris
Cranfield
Well done, knocking on the neighbouring Farms, once you have one permission, is the most common way of extending your land. As you shoot "next door", its as good as having a first class reference.

triscrx
Popped into another adjacent farm yesterday for a chat and he has '500 Acres' !! He is going to have a word with his brother and get back to us, He said he has alot of Deer that damage his trees and in order to get his grant this year alot of them will need to be taken out Fingers crossed I hear from him soon, Be amazing to get permission to shoot his ground. Amazing woodland all around his place.
dcliff
Yeah, great credentials saying that you shoot on a neighbouring farm. All the farmers know each other - it's like a job reference! Well done.
