Im assuming your still living with parents............... so I supose its really their decision to.

Personally I would go for an ESS everytime.....for a well rounded multi tasking working animal...... the cockers have enjoyed increasing popularity the last few years.......................... but it all depends on what you want out of your dog...

Puppy would be they forward everytime. :good:

Well if it’s beating and a bit of rough shooting you want to do a Springer will be just the job for you.

Whether you get an older dog or a younger dog well you have to think about the cost- an older trained dog is going to cost you a fortune, a young pup probably not so much.

If you manage to get an older dog that is being rehomed make sure you fully understand why the owner wants to re-home it.

You could get a dog with or without KC reg, your going to pay more for a registered dog than a un registered one.

The most important thing is to get a dog which comes from good working stock. I paid €200 for an unregistered pup just before X-Mas and she’ll do quite nicely for what I want, I saw both her parents and they looked to be fine looking working dogs.

If I were you get yourself a nice pup, get one of your beating colleagues to advise you on what to get and train in yourself I'm sure a young lad like yourself would have plenty of time for that.

Good luck :good:
