MK38 Posted April 6, 2008 Report Share Posted April 6, 2008 Been a long time since i did any serious hunting with an air rifle, but i guess the answer still remains the same... what distance can you put all your shots into a 1" circle ? An air rifle pellet can kill and certainly wound to a great distance, the biggest limiting factor is the shooter. I would try to keep most of my shots to 30-35 yds max... but if you can shoot better than me (wouldn't be hard) maybe a bit further. My TX200HC .22 using WEBLEY MOSSI EXPRESS 14.3 leaves the barrel at 600 fps 11.43 ftlbs 30yrds 525fps 8.7ftlbs 40yrds 502fps 8 ftlbs 45yrds 491fps 7.65ftlbs 50yrds 480fps 7.31ftlbs Do not know how accurate these figures are but will 7.31 ftlbs kill ?
