Paul in North Lincs.
Just bought a Winchester Ranger semi auto, second hand, for pigeons. I've been have a scan around for some info: on this particular model, and can't find any...... its a very long, well balanced gun, with cracking knurnled grips on the woodwork. Was just wondered if anyone knows anything about ths particualr model? are they any good?, do they have any particular design faults? ...... in over 20 years of shooting, its that first semi auto I,ve ever had. What would be an average price for this gun, S/H in good nick? Any general maintence advice would also be appreciated. My thanks in advance Paul in North Lincs :yp:
barrie0
Paul I bought a book firearms assembly/disassembley part v shotguns second edition that gives you complete takedown instructions for 59 popular shotguns 9 of which are for winchester shotguns mostly semis as its an american book ,the models are12,37,97,101,1200,1400,1887,superxmodel1+2, It says model 1200 is also applicable to ranger model youth,120,combo . The book tells you how to strip down and reassemble in pictures various shotguns . From amazon.co.uk looking at the site now there is one available in the uk from superbooks but i tried that seller and was refunded as they said there is none in stock all the rest ship from america . but if you go to amazon.com in america http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...g=UTF8&v=glance I had mine brand new shipped over here in a week and the grand total was £16 inclusive of shipping (It was sent from europe) that was 2 weeks ago . The book may be of some use to you . Theres only 1 left from amazon at the moment . If one of the above models is yours I can try to scan the pages for that model and send them to you in email Cheers :yp:
