Making Spinning wings

I'm thinking about making some spinning wing decoys, but I can't get my head around what material to use to make them with.

 

I've come up with some ideas for the rotor shaft but need to design the wings first so I can work out how to attach them.

 

Has anyone else tried this?

i never done that before but how about some bolser wood its very light it may do the trick you can get it from most hobby shops

Are you trying to make wind driven or motor driven wings

try pvc corregated sheeting can find it at hobby centers or thin aluminum like is used to wrap window frames both make good wings. The sheeting is about 1/8 in thick and shaft can be pushed in between the layers and glued

cosd If your making wind driven use the alum it;s very thin and you can shape it with your hands to any bend you want the pvc would need heated they may look rough but even factory made ones take at least a 5 mph wind to run them

I didn't think of using ally at all....!

 

I'm going down to the local DIY centre to grab a couple of squares.
