Si-Bore
I am not sure whether to go for a Beretta 686 silver pigeon in game or sporterformat. I know the game version is lighter with a narrow rib and the sporter wider rib and heavier. I want the gun for decoying and clays. The last gun expert I talked to recommended a sporter over the game for decoying as he thought the reduced recoil of the heaver sporter would be an advantage and the weight would not be a factor as I was stationary in the hide i.e. not walking around on game shoots. Any advice appreciated Si
garyb
Swings and roundabouts to be honest.. I prefer a "game" gun in the hide, as I find the clay sporters cumbersome... But a Clay sporter is softer on the shoulder after 100 birds. It all boils down to, what will you be shooting the most ?
2shots
Only real difference is the game might be fixed chokes 1/2 and full apart from the rib/weight etc sporter probably would be a multichoke and heavier,I use a beretta 686e sporter for everything.
