tinbum71
I owe a big thankyou to Chris, AKA Flea-bag for taking me lamping wednesday night. He was down here controlling rabbits on one of his permissions and let me tag along. We started in the early evening doing a bit of stalking to get the feel of his .17 HMR. I embarrassed myself by missing a few sitters from standing shots, but being a shotgun user my accuracy at this range is somewhat rusty. Things came around though and when we started lamping from his (fabulously customised) truck the bunnies just dropped like flies. All in all I'd say over 40 rabbits in a coupla hours with some at ranges I'd've thought impossible from my .22 subsonic days! Cracking guy, great shooter and if you ever get invited, go for it! Dave-G
Glad you two hooked up at last. Yea - that truck kinda spoils ya hey? Did you have a try at left hooking out the front passenger side?

Did you have a try at left hooking out the front passenger side? I tried, but just couldn't get the eye relief right! Never shot left handed before so practice needed methinks. Things soon improved out of the sunfroof tho! Straight off getting 3-4 out of 5 tried for improving to almost every shot got. That Mitsi gives an incredibly stable platform and the .17HMR is ridiculously accurate and flat shooting!
