barrie0
Hi All, Thinking of getting one of these either new or secondhand. Are they any good, any common problems etc, and what is the trigger like. Thanks
markl813
herd mixed reveiws as it is a light springer has a bit of a kickwitch hinders accuracy better in 22 looks nice though. on the aigun forum there is a big thread on this
artful badger
i've got one in .22. there are a couple things that are annoying but easily fixable. the screw on end of the moderator (why it needs to come off is a mystery) gets loose and if your not careful you'll lose it, i put some ptfe tape on to stop it unscrewing. the butt plug (hee hee) drops off after 5 or so shots, i put tiger seal on it to solve that problem. the maxigrip rail is too big for most standard mounts other than those few minor gripes it is a lovely rifle, the pistol grip is very ergonormic and the stock is pure joy to hold, it has a fair amount of recoil and you will feel it after a heavy plinking session. as standard the trigger is very heavy but it is easily tweaked HTH

barrie0
Thanks lads, In the end I popped into Allsports in Gloucester. I had a good look at all of his springers and secondhand pcps, and came out with a new wood stock Lightning XL.
