Jim145
Yeah, I've got one. Not a bad rifle - certainly for £30! Should be around the 10ft/lb mark.

Jim145
I'm pretty sure ASI are Spanish - part of Gamo I belive. The one I have actually belongs to a mate of mine, for reasons I forget it now seems to live at my house! "Mine" came second-hand from a farmer, and has clearly led a hard life. That said though it still shoots fine and looks like it is one of those guns that will go on forever. I'm not sure when they were manufactured, or how much they were at the time. I would guess it would have been aimed as a slightly cheaper alternative to BSA's Supersport.

vole
In the 70,s ASI used to make the pistol grip .177 repeater called the Paratrooper used on fairground arcades and the ASI Sniper. Think they went on to make the military looking Jackal. Sure they were Spanish.

Yep, Spanish, and a subsidiary of Gamo (possibly the other way round) In fact, I had a ASI sniper as "my" (I was too young to 'own' it) first ever rifle, about 22 years ago! Great little rifle. ZB
KennyB
thanks for that lads, it seems to make a bit of a crack what would be involved in geting a silencer fitted to it ,at what kind of cost,,
