fac taking too long

i first aplide for my FAC over 12 months ago but was told i was to young(16) and their would be no point in having one as i cant use it so i was to send off agen in a years time i was to pay no more money ok i thort.

but i resent and all was ok land passed and at the interveiw i was told i had got it and i was told it would be 10 or so weeks.

but that was months ago and theirs still no sine of it they just keep saying a couple more weeks

than about 2 weekes ago they wanted me to resend them my deatails like adress phone number ect, then once they had thease i would have it in a couple of weeks.

so i sent them off and guess what no cert. now i have 2 rifles at the ranges on the rfds ticket that i cant have beacous they havent sent out MY ticket( and the fao knows i have them as well but its ok beacous my fac has been granted)

 

i dont know what to do now i phoned them yesterday and they said ring back on tuseday could you offer any advice as to what to do next beacous ime at my wits end

SOUNDS LIKE THEYVE LOST YOUR FILE SAME AS MY MATES,

IF YOUR IN BASC I WOULD ASK THEM TO RING UP FOR YOU,

BUT IF YOU PESTER THEM IT SOMETIMES REBOUNDS ON YOU

AND TAKES THEM AGES.

i was thinking that if they have why dont they just say so ime not freiting over it? and it realy anoys me beacous i have 3 litters of cubs to clear and verry unhappy farmers not to mention almost £1000 worth of rifles sat their doing nowt shooting nowt but paper

and like you said i dont want to pester them but its taking the mickey now thow isnt it?

 

can any one offer any advice on what to do?

My mates waited now since november last year and sent his details

in including maps letters 3 times,basc are helping him now but think

there is something wrong.Another mate last year waited 9 months

after the police came to do his check, but asked if he was sure he had

no convictions,after he got refused it turns out in 1983 he had a fine

for no tv licence and a fine for motoring offences.Which he forgot about

he was told to reapply this year but has gone back to the air rifles.If your

in basc I would give them a call or if your in a club the secretary can ring them.

I was waiting ages for my sgc to come through. I spoke with BASC, who offered specific advice on how to tackle the licencing office. I took their advice, followed it through & spoke to the firearms dept and my cert arrived three days later.

update for you all i have finaly got thru to my fao on the phone and he is coming to morrow hopefully with my certificate but ime not holding to much hope so ill let you know how i get on
