BSA Shaun
Personally Accupels did the job in mine, so give them a go
timbo191163
i owned bsa lightning for 10 months now changed to hw77 but the best pellet for short range kills are the bisley hollow point and for really long range up tp 75 metres i used dynamic sn2 tin bullets

Jim145
Webley Mosquito Express are fantastic, but very expensive. The Accupels are good, but you get covered in the graphite lube they put on them! Air Arms Field are worth a try too

Jim145
Thanks Jim. Theres a few brands I can look out for. If you really want to find which pellet your gun prefers you could try on of the selection packs from Pellpax. With it being a springer you'll likely find it performs best with the lighter pellets. vole
Hi Jim. I have heard of these but doubt if I would be able to put the time in to try them all. At the moment I have to drive about 10m to do any shooting at the moment including air rifle. So being a lazy *** thought I would ask for you chaps hard earned knowledge. I wont be attempting any demanding shots on quarry for a long time yet until really up to it.
Ratman2
I've got more airguns than I care to admit too but my BSA's and Webleys are my favourites, these days I use AirArms Diabolo for distance work, BSA Iterceptors for vermin and Milbro Select for plinking. Happy shooting. :(
vole
Know what you mean. I,m 45 and having a BSA ,a new one at that is awesome really. I was bought a new Meteor when they were £21 then a 2nd hand Airsporter which was £27. They really take me back and hope to get good use out of it. I do miss the open sights on the Lightning however. What do you do for close up shots? My scope is 4x32 and I cant see a thing under about 8 yards? Thanks for all your help.
