Blackbart
I know this is a longshot but does anybody know ANYWHERE where i could get a small repair done on a pair of zeiss 7x40 binos? It is just the focus wheel trim and doesnt affect their workings in anyway, purely cosmetic but i want it done. The problem i am having is because they are old and not plastic no-where is interested.(Not even zeiss !!!) The original sad lad
i use optirep all the time and i must state his work is first class. he is currently charging £40.00 a hour plus parts which is good value in this speicalised market
cubix
BB - search for and then buy an identical pair on ebay, even broken, if the part you after is OK. e.g. original SLR camera's which are still fabulous bits of kit are going for a fiver. I have a pair of Omega 7x50 which I use, they are older than me but they are superb, all metal. I might buy a spare set just in case. tell you what - Item number: 110266695374 on ebay now if anyone wants a cracking pair of binos. Blackbart
I would do that cubix but they are very rare, i have put them on e-bay tonight and they will go for a lot of money without the repair as it is only cosmetic. When i say rare i mean rare, they will probably be bought by a collector. In the last year i have only seen 1 other pair the same and they went for a tidy sum,so trying to find another pair the same for spare parts isnt going to happen really. One the bright side whatever i get for them will be used towards a nice 223,so thank you mr zeiss.
